Features
Everything the Scripture operator needs, in one window
VerseBeamer does the listening and the looking-up. Your operator keeps the final say on every screen.
Scripture recognition
Follows the sermon as it is preached
VerseBeamer works on the transcript while the words are still arriving, so the passage is ready as soon as it is spoken.
Spoken references
Books, chapters, verses and ranges as people really say them — “Romans chapter eight, verse twenty-eight”, “John three, sixteen to eighteen”, even inside a longer sentence.
More exact, never less
“Romans five” can become “Romans 5:5” when the verse is named. A later, less complete phrase never replaces a more exact reference.
Next and previous verse
“Give me the next verse” moves on exactly once — one request, one step.
Quoted Scripture
When a verse is quoted without its reference, VerseBeamer compares the words with the translations on your computer and suggests the passage, showing the words that matched.
Translation requests
“Give me ASV” prepares the current passage in the translation asked for, where that translation is available.
Related, kept separate
Passages that are only related by topic are never presented as if they had been quoted.
Operator control
Detected, Preview and Live are three different things
What VerseBeamer hears, what the operator is checking and what the congregation sees are kept apart, so a guess never reaches the screen.
Recent detections
Everything recognised is listed with its source, so the operator can bring back an earlier passage in a moment.
Preview before Live
The passage waits in Preview (orange). Go Live (red) sends exactly what was checked — with a click, a double-click or the keyboard.
Lock Detection
Keep Preview as it is during prayer, notices or a song. New detections are still listed but no longer replace Preview.
Freeze Live
Keep the current Live verse in place: actions that would normally go straight to Live stop at Preview.
Undo and Clear Screen
Step back to the previous Live item, or clear the screen at once.
Keyboard shortcuts
Go Live, Clear Screen, Lock Detection and Freeze Live each have a shortcut, shown on the button itself.
Bible Explorer
Find any passage in seconds
When the operator needs to find something by hand, the search box understands more than references.
Search by anything
A reference, words from the verse, a person, an event or a topic.
Typed shorthand
Short forms such as “mat 5 5” go straight to the passage. If a reference is unclear, VerseBeamer offers what you probably meant and changes nothing until you choose.
Whole-chapter verse grid
Every verse number of the chapter is shown at once. Click to preview a verse; double-click to send it live.
Songs and service
The whole service in one place
Scripture and songs share one Preview and one Live, so switching between them never disturbs the screen.
Scripture and Songs workspaces
Switch workspace without changing what the congregation sees.
Your own songs
Add the songs your church has the right to display, with verses, choruses and bridges as separate sections. VerseBeamer does not include song lyrics.
Service running order
Line up readings and songs before the service; the next item is always one click away.
Every screen
One Live, wherever people are watching
What the operator sends live appears everywhere at once.
Projector or main screen
Full-screen output on the display you choose for the congregation.
Livestream overlay
A browser-source output for OBS Studio or vMix, so the verse appears on the stream too.
Output profiles
Extra outputs, each with its own display profile, fed from the same Live.
Backgrounds and readable layouts
Choose backgrounds; long passages are split into pages that can be read from the back of the room.
Reliability
Made for a live service
Sunday morning is not the time for surprises. VerseBeamer is designed to keep going and to tell you clearly what it is doing.
Keeps listening through interruptions
If the internet connection drops, the microphone keeps capturing and VerseBeamer reconnects to the speech service by itself.
Clear status lights
The top bar shows the microphone, speech service and projector at a glance, including how fresh the latest transcript is.
Verified Bible text only
Scripture on screen always comes from a Bible translation on the computer — VerseBeamer never writes or paraphrases verses itself.
