This page explains how Nova Groups (“we”), the maker of VerseBeamer, handles personal information on this website and in the VerseBeamer desktop application.

This website

  • The website does not use cookies, advertising or analytics tracking.
  • There are no forms on this website. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write.
  • Like most websites, the servers that host this site may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the service running and secure.

Emails you send us

We use the information in your email only to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time.

The VerseBeamer application

  • Speech recognition. While listening is switched on, audio from the selected input is sent to the speech-recognition service chosen in the application (AssemblyAI by default) so it can be turned into text, using your own account with that service. The audio is processed by that provider under its own terms. Nothing is sent while listening is off.
  • Stored on your computer. Settings, logs and session records (which include sermon transcripts, but not audio) are kept in the application's folder on the computer it runs on. They are not sent to us.
  • Service keys. Any key for the speech-recognition service is stored encrypted on the computer using Windows data protection.
  • If you choose to send us logs or recordings for support, we use them only to investigate the problem.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing admin@versebeamer.com.
